Nepal Airlines Both Airbus 320-233 aircraft resume their services

Nepal Airlines A320-233 registered as 9N-AKX is now preparing to continue its scheduled flight just a day after being grounded in TIA due to temporary failure of the fire extinguisher in cargo that resulted in the smoke arousal inside the cockpit yesterday. The aircraft made an emergency landing at TIA. According to officials of NAC, there was problem in the fire extinguisher inside the cargo and that had been discharged.
The damaged fire extinguisher has been replaced with a new one after which the regular flight service of the aircraft has been set up again. The extinguisher was brought yesterday from Dragon Air and ‘Lumbini’ is thus preparing to resume its regular operation from today.
The other aircraft of Nepal Airlines with registration 9N-AKW ‘Sagarmatha’ which was also grounded at TIA due to the problem in SRB had resumed its flight from yesterday after the defunct ‘Sensor Relay Box (SRB) of the aircraft was replaced by the functioning SRB of the other aircraft.
Altogether 3 aircraft, two A320 ‘Sagarmatha’, ‘Lumbini’ and one Boeing 757 will be serving international sectors of Nepal Airlines Corporation until the new fleet is added.
