AirAsia X to suspend flight to Kathmandu from October

Air Asia X, Malaysian-based low-cost carrier Air Asia X has announced to suspend its schedule flight to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) effective from October 13, this year.

According to Higly Placed Source, the airline has stated to suspend its entire flight to Nepal for one year alludes to shortage of passengers on the sector. The airline had already written to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) authority informing of its decision to suspend its regular flights.

Presently, the carrier had been operating four flights a week to Kathmandu using its Airbus A330 aircraft with 274-seat capacity. While, the present occupancy of the airline is only 50-60 passengers on an average in recent times.
